The connections on the back of the recorder if they are BNC connectors, then its coaxial, if its RJ45 Connectors then it is an IP system. Without having the model of the recorder there isn't much I can verify to help you.
Okay, I had to google those connectors to know which was which, and from the photos, I have BNC connectors.
Where will I find a model number on the recorder itself? All I can tell you is it's a "Zmodo h.264 DVR" that I bought on eBay.
And how can I check the cameras to see if they're getting any power? I have another 12V power supply and I think I can use that 4 into 1 cable to plug into it. Would that help?
