I haven't posted in a long time but I wanted to share a warning and suggestion. Obviously any port is susceptible to being hacked but many dvr's and nvr's default to the same ports to forward for remote viewing. Mine caught a telnet hack that was throwing a denial of service attack to my network and gave me real pain until I caught up to it and changed the 37777 port to something else, which rid the hack attached to that port. So, I would suggest it's a good practice to set a different port than default to be safer when initially setting up networking in your gear. Then every so often, take a peek at your port forward list in your router. Make sure you recognize all ports to be what you set up and there aren't any duplicates you don't recognize. If you get into serious service issues on your home network that you just can't get a handle on, look at this to confirm it isn't a problem. Bottom line, it's a good idea to change that default 37777 port right from the start . It's one of a number of things to do to keep your gear and network safer. I hope this helps someone.
