yes - all incoming audio from IP cameras can be recorded. The audio is integrated into the IP stream.

Absolutely!

**Does this NVR need port forwarding enabled for a remote client from PC / Phone ?
Port forwarding is always the best bet as it opens up your options for connecting - you can use a Static IP Address-or you can set up DDNS using the built in 'Quick DDNS' or set up a TechPro DDNS, or DDNS of your choice among the other options listed (DYNDNS/No-IP, etc) There is also a P2P function that eliminates the need for port forwarding. The P2P interface for PC is limited to Live view and replay - there is no access to settings on the DVR/NVR like you get with Client or Browser. There is a "SmartPSS' remote client or you can use web browser (Internet Exploder). We also have apps for Android and iOS. Plenty of remote connection options.
