BobM on Intermittant recording on IP camera channels, Fed Hybrid model

I have a HYBDVR-FE016480-DH-160 32 channel hybrid dvr a little over 5 years old.  Until recently it mostly had analog cameras on the first 15 channels.  This year I have begun adding some ONVIF IP cameras.  I have the recording set up for 24 hrs every day with the dvr overwriting older recordings with approximately 9-10 terabytes of hard drive space.  It is not set for recording on motion detection only.  On several of the IP cameras the dvr is being intermittent with the recording.  When I look at the screen remotely (output to a monitor using HDMI cable), some times the little green box in the bottom corner will be on, showing it is recording, whereas a little while later it will be off.  When I look to replay, there are obvious gaps in the timeline.  It is still showing a live picture during all this.  A few of them are IP PTZ cameras, and if I bump the camera in one direction or another a little bit, sometimes the green box will come back on.  Most of these cameras are connected using 75-100 ft. shielded outdoor cat5e cables with POE, but there are no heavy RF signals nearby so not being shielded shouldn't be a factor for those that aren't.  I have done a reboot several times on the dvr but still have the intermittent recording problem on several of them.  Only the IP camera channels are doing this, the analog are always rock stable.  Anyone have some ideas on why I can't get continuous record on some of these channels?
