This is an old post but incase anyone else is searching, there is a Mac DAV converter available for download on my site (free).
Techvision can feel free to distribute it on their download page, it is from the Dahua Mac SDK.
PS. Dav monitor is some older software I wrote, discontinued now though.
There are also the updated Dav converters for Windows.
