hi all
I am hoping I have picked the correct forum topic to post this into, pls advise if it should be moved into its appropriate topic if this is not it.
I am seeking advice on integrating the correct long term choice into existing Sibell NVR.
Requiremnts are doorbell-chime passthtu for inside the premises (to retain existing doorbell chime) aND ALSO be able to answer the entrances remotely on smartphones if no one is at home and ability to have the "doorbell" be able to be motion activated and record to the OnVif compliant Sibell NVR whether the doorbell is pressed or the motion activated trigger starts recording when someone approaches the entrance, regardless if any one is at the premises or somewhere else. It is very much desirable to be able to answer any entrance door on a smartphone no matter if IN the premises or away from the premises.
I am considering "decent" choices for a video intercom-doorbell such as these, for 3 entrances of a building (single fam) not just gimmicky or cheaper alternatives and I am finding some choices in the $180/(each entrance-per device) range from a manufacturer called Rongtai Electronics
The device that seems most appropriate is linked to above and it is ONVIF compatible
another device that would be closer to $60/entrance is an analog device and it can be integrated as an ONVIF via an add on accesory:
Analog $60 per entrance device
These devices are distributed by 2 vendors that I have found, in Brooklyn, NY and one oin BC, CANADA:
Rintercom in Brooklyn or also the less expensive device: the $60 alternative from Rintercom
also the Canadian vendor seems better at their tech support and product support in general:
GBF Electronics mostly sold thru Amazon in same $180 price range
I am staying away from the hi-end "Beverly hills" type very very costly solutions.
I am seeking advice and input on what others have found for this type of entrance-intercom "doorbell" type solution that lets a user use their smartphone as an answering device from anywhere th user is located as long as they have a cell signal and also is ONVIF compatible and able to be motion activated for recording to the NVR.
All advice and guidance is appreciated.
